Our standing committees provide ongoing support throughout the school year, helping enrich the student experience, strengthen our community, and support the day-to-day work of the PTO.
Assemblies and Programming

The Assemblies and Programming Committee brings engaging educational, cultural, and enrichment experiences directly to our students throughout the year. Working closely with school administration, the committee researches, evaluates, and coordinates high-quality programs that inspire curiosity, celebrate diversity, and complement classroom learning.

Birthday Signs

Celebrate your child's special day with a Wescott Birthday Sign! This fundraising program allows families to rent festive lawn signs for birthdays while supporting the PTO. Volunteers coordinate scheduling, sign pickup and return, and program logistics.

Community and Service

This committee helps develop and promote an inclusive school community by creating opportunities for families to connect, serve, and celebrate the many cultures and perspectives that make Wescott unique. It also supports initiatives that promote kindness, responsibility, citizenship, and meaningful family engagement.
Diverse Books
Amanda Neidhardt
The Diverse Books Committee promotes a love of reading while celebrating the many voices, cultures, and experiences represented within our community and beyond. Volunteers support our annual Spring into Reading program, explore opportunities for author visits, recommend new titles for the library, and help inspire lifelong readers.
Ice Cream Day

Once each month, students enjoy a sweet PTO-sponsored treat! This committee coordinates ordering, volunteers, and event logistics to help make Ice Cream Day a fun tradition for everyone.

Multicultural Night

Multicultural Night celebrates the many cultures that make our Wescott community so vibrant. This committee organizes the event, recruits family volunteers, and creates opportunities for students to learn about traditions from around the world.
Room Parents

The Room Parent Committee recruits and supports classroom volunteers throughout the school year. Room parents help organize classroom celebrations, coordinate field trip volunteers, communicate with teachers, and assist with teacher appreciation activities.

Special Lunch/Food Days

This committee coordinates Wescott's monthly Wednesday Special Lunch Program, including vendor coordination, ordering, volunteer scheduling, and event operations. The food days are the PTO sponsored Wednesday special lunches. The responsibilities of this committee include ordering the food, organizing the volunteers, and running the actual food day.
Spiritwear

Show your Wescott pride! The Spiritwear Committee partners with vendors to offer Wescott-themed apparel and merchandise for students and families while coordinating ordering, distribution, and promotions throughout the year.
Yearbook

The Yearbook Committee captures the memories that make each school year special. Volunteers collect photos, collaborate with the publisher, and create a keepsake that celebrates our students, staff, and school community.
